Antique Welsh Blue Floral Broadcloth Quilt 205cm X 214cm

Description

An antique Welsh broadcloth quilt in excellent condition, late 19th Century. Constructed in three narrow loom sections, one side in a pale blue floral design, the reverse in a deep berry colour cotton sateen, stitched in a traditional Welsh design of circles, scrolls and leaves within squares and with banded borders.

In very good, clean, order throughout. A few small marks but it's clearly seen little use. Originally purchased from Jen Jones Quilts in West Wales.

205cm x 214cm. Shown illustrated on a doubke bed but it would also be useable on a kingsize bed.
