Description

R.G. Fraser: A large and impressive gilt framed oil painting on canvas, depicting a Scottish Loch with a small village/hamlet and mountains in the background. In the foreground are three fishermen retrieving their catch from a small boat. A small sailing vessel and several small flocks of seabirds feature in the distance.

Condition: The picture is in generally good condition but would benefit from a clean (if desired). Two small areas of paint missing, or compressed (see images) and a small area of gilding missing to the frame (again, see image).

Dimensions:  Width: 54 inches (137 cm). Height: 35 inches (89 cm).

Dated: c.1873. Signed and dated to the lower left corner (see image)
