This is an excellent example of a novelty solid sterling silver table lighter, this one designed as a twin handled urn.
It is clearly hallmarked on the side for London 1906 with the maker''s mark for the highly esteemed silversmith William Comyns. There are corresponding hallmarks on the lid, which fits tightly. The base is weighted and has had green felt attached at some point.
The silver is in excellent condition and the item appears to be unused.
