This is a large antique ceremonial dinner gong. An English, oak and bronze framed chime, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Generously sized dinner gong within a quality frame

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

Select oak stocks shows rich caramel hues and fine grain interest

Replete with cork striker, dressed with leather hanging loop

Hand-beaten brass gong shows great patination with domed centre

Gong suspended beneath the frame with quality leather cord

Raised upon a pair of shaped trestle feet with arched centres

Serpentine stretcher rails unite the support stands above and below

This is an appealing antique ceremonial dinner gong, with a strident ring and presented within an appealing frame. Delivered waxed, polished and ready to strike.
