We see a lot of Edwardian lavalier pendants but this elegantly designed heart-shaped piece is the best we've ever had. A superior quality pendant in 15-carat rose gold which beautifully sets off the central faceted garnet and tiny dangling diamond drop.

Marked 15CT. Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and as this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces, it is attractive to collectors.

In excellent antique condition.
