Description

An awesome plique-à-jour gold medal pendant, featuring the profile of a young woman – most likely the Virgin Mary. The stained-glass effect of plique-à-jour enamel is realised here in light blue and turquoise, with exquisite detailing in the gold work. A piece to make a collector of Art Nouveau jewellery swoon.

Engraved to the reverse Marthe 6 Mai 1920.

Dated – 1920.

Measurements – The pendant is 25.3mm in diameter (not including the bale).
