£10,995    $14,446    €13,042
This magnificent item is made to the highest possible standards using Rosewood veneers only ever used on exhibition quality furniture and the same veneers are used on the sides and around the top of the hood.

Please study the breakfront base and the timbers used for the mouldings.

Either side of the glazed door are two magnificent carved Italian Carrara marble reeded pillars with Corinthium capitals

The overall quality is simply staggering and the original condition is superb with a very high shine to the case. There are some age related marks and minor losses but nothing to detract.

The 8 day duration precision movement is massively constructed and (over) engineered as only the finest English clocks can be.It has six spoke wheels with high count pinions and dead beat escapement with maintaining power. It is driven by a small brass cased weight and a heavy lead filled pendulum bob and a wood rod

The clock functions perfectly and the movement is currently being restored by a member of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers prior to sale.
