George III Red Walnut Dressing Chest Fitted Drawer

18th century
Description

Fine George III solid red walnut dressing chest of four long oak lined drawers with the top drawer fitted with lidded compartments and slide. The canted front corners with blind fret decoration and raised on shaped bracket feet. All in fine original condition except the old replacement brass handles and escutcheons. The sides are not split but made in two pieces. Lovely slightly golden colour with great waxed patina.

Size; 32" high, 37" wide, 18" deep.
