Description

A very handsome Victorian pair of brass fire dogs or fire tool stands c1860. They have substantial weight and height. The fronts have turned stems leading to fluted ball finials. They stand on an outswept M shaped base with shell decoration. The backs repeat the outswept shape and have trefoil supports. An impressive and substantial pair in very good condition.
