This superb Victorian inlaid walnut shaped centre table was made circa 1865.
The cabinetmaker chose wonderful burr walnut veneers that he laid, before the highly skilled inlaying was started.
Not only that the top is stunning, but the base is also beautifully carved by a skilled carver.
The top with indent and rounded corners, with the fine inlaid patterns to each corner, centres and at both ends, these are joined by fine box wood stringing.
The base with its turned and finely carved end supports, with cabriole legs, these are joined by a carved pole stretcher.
