An elm and ash framed, Shropshire country chair, dating from the late C18th, George III period. Featuring a yoke top rail over solid vasiform splat, solid seat, turned side and rear seat rails, without front rail, in the Shropshire / Staffordshire style. Raised on ring turned front legs, on off-set pad feet, supported by ring turned front stretcher and double side and rear stretchers.
A quality country chair, in very good condition with good colour, polish and patina throughout, ready for use.

This chair measures approximately 96 cm (38'') tall, 48 cm (19'') wide, and 38 cm (15'') deep. The seat height is approximately 43 cm (17'').
