Rare16thc Capstan Style SP Wrythen Candlesticks by Richard Hodd c1880.
This fine pair of Richard Hodd & Son (Richard Hodd I & Richard Hodd II) silver plated candlesticks are beautiuflly designed and made with a flared base, drip tray a third of the way up, wrythen column leading to a removable sconce with pie crust rim. Hallmarked to the base RHRH for Richard Hodd and Son. Offered in great condition, slight wear consistent with age. Heavy, attractive and very tactile.
