Outstanding example of a Regency Rosewood Twin Canister Tea Caddy dating back to c.1820. The exceptional Tea caddy is sarcophagus in shape with a brass foliate inlaid design. The box has brass lion mask handles to the sides and sits on four shaped feet. The box houses a beautiful brass inlaid design to the back of the inside lid, It has a cut glass liner to the centre with rosewood and brass inlaid canisters either side. The box measures 34 x 17 and stands 21 cm high.
