A late Victorian / early Edwardian period, walnut extending kitchen dining table, in Arts & Crafts taste, almost 8 feet in length. This well proportioned table, constructed in solid walnut, rectangular top, with canted corners and reeded edge. Plain frieze, raised on well proportioned square tapered legs with spade feet, on brass and ceramic castors. The top extends by way of winding screw mechanism (Joseph Fitter, Patent), with original handle, by two additional leaves.
A highly functional table, full of character with age and use related marks and blemishes. In good working condition, and ready for use.

This table measures approximately 75.5 cm (29.75'') tall, 239 cm (94'') long extended, 150.5 cm (59.25'') long unextended, and 120 cm (47.25'') wide. The two additional leaves measure 47.5 cm (18.75'') and 41 cm (16'').

A few extinct historic worm holes, which do not affect the sturdiness of the table in any way, and by way of precaution have all been treated. The mechanism and castors all work well. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
