Description

Not many Kazaks of this vintage in the market place nowadays. A truly exceptional antique from the early part of the 19th century, the Sewan medallion fills almost the entire field with a rich green and myriad small dots, with trees in each corner and a rare border featuring the waterbug design. Most of the carpet is in excellent original pile, with one area in the lower half of the medallion showing light wear. The condition is exceptional for a piece of this age. It is clean and ready for another 200 years.
