Description

A fine small card tray on three ball and claw feet. Bearing no makers mark, but made of Old Sheffield Plate and dating to c1800. With scroll and shell edging and featuring an unusual naive crest of a cherub to the centre. A good heavy tactile object.

The condition is good overall with no splits. The plating is in very good order with only the faintest traces of copper bleed. Some very faint scratching and a couple of tiny dimples to the surface.
