Antique William IV Rosewood Over Mantle Mirror

Description

A gorgeous original William IV period over mantle mirror in rosewood and gilt wood. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-1850’s.

It is beautifully made, with a very thick and finely constructed frame. The rosewood has a stunning colour and amazing grain patterns, offset nicely by the gilt wood banding.

The silvered backing to the mirror is slightly distressed, giving this plenty of character and charm. The frame is in excellent condition, with only some extremely minor wear here and there.
