Description

French antique Louis XV style mahogany display cabinet dating from around the 1880-90’s period & in very good original condition.

It has a marble top with a gilt metal pierced gallery with swags below. There are gilt bronze mounts on the top, on & between the legs, plus exquisite filigree metal work above the door. The glass is bowed on the door & serpentine shaped on the sides. There are gilt metal edges on the edge of the glass.

The insides are lined in the original velvet, which is still okay, although there are various imprint marks from whatever was sitting inside all of these years. I think this is all part of the character & this cabinet is full of character.
