Victorian Mahogany 3 Drawer Twin Pedestal Desk

A lovely Victorian writing desk with cupboards, ideal for any period study or office.

We are delighted to offer this great condition Antique Late Victorian (circa 1870s's) Mahogany twin pedestal writing desk of moderate proportions, ideal for any period study or office. This very usable desk is ideal to be used as a desk for a desktop or for a laptop with the bonus of being able to store the folded laptop in the middle drawer. The desk could also be used as a hall or console table as it is narrow and not too intrusive.

This lovely desk features its original lovely lightly faded French polished finish with a nice warm Mahogany colour with patina and recently replaced Green gold tooled writing desk leather in great condition.

The desk has a lovely curved and moulded frontage complete with 2 arch top doors in front of its large cupboard spaces either side, the left of which has a removable shelf half way. Because of this desk having large cupboards, this desk could have holes in the back panels added for wires to printers or even desktop towers (we could add these if wanted).

Each drawer and door is complete with its original turned knobs (none of which are broken).

We have sympathetically restored, cleaned and waxed this item to enhance the French polished surface and preserve it for many years to come.

This desk is a fixed desk and does not comes apart like many twin pedestal desks do, this makes this desk very solid and does not rock, move or creak like some can .

Please note; This item is in great condition for its age as shown by the photographs, however, being an antique item of this age there may be minor blemishes here and there which we feel adds to its originality and heritage of the piece.
