Rare and Unique Victorian American Brass and Iron Double Bed

Description

Rare and unique Victorian American iron and brass double bed with lovely shaping and very good detail in decorative castings and brass central decoration. The original naturally aged paint finish has been cleaned and waxed to preserve. Suitable for double mattress size 4'6" x 6'3"/135cm x 190cm.

The bed has been professionally restored with side rails checked for good fit and strengthened and adapted to support wood slats.

Max head end height 166cm

Max foot end height 123cm

Side rail height 54cm

Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress)

As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2" platform top mini box base to raise the get into bed height and offer a superior support for quality mattresses. Photograph taken with wood slats. We can also supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices. Details and prices are available on our own web site under bases and mattresses or call us for details.
