Description

An exceptional and rare small / miniature George III tea caddy dating to around 1800 in Ivory panels and trimmed in tortoise shell.

The front has a small shield shaped silver mount, coordinating with the silver escutcheon which houses a working key.

The interior has a single lidded compartment, again in Ivory and tortoiseshell.

Quite wonderful with a good glossy patina and measuring 3" x 2" x 3" tall excluding finial.
