This is an antique fire grate. An English, cast iron fireplace basket, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Appealing, self-contained grate with ideal proportion for the smaller hearth

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

Substantial cast iron presents dark graphite tones throughout

Shaped back rest resides over a barred basket, adorned with Fleur de Lys finials

Standing upon a pair of dashing scrolled toes with square section rear legs
