Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
A lovely Art Nouveau coal Purdonium, ideal for open fires .
This purdonium is an ideal accomplice to any open fire, log burner or period property.

This simple yet elegant purdonium features a lovely medium Oak colour and French polished finish with patina. The Purdonium is ideal for neat mess-free storage of coal or kindling. This lovely looking box also features a polished curved brass top handle complete with brass corner brackets, large Art Nouveau lid hinges and lid knob with back plate.

We have sympathetically restored this item maintaining original patina and character by just carefully waxing this item to enhance and preserve the finish whilst giving it a natural sheen and polishing the brassware.

Unfortunately this cabinet is missing its metal lift out coal liner.
Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but will have the odd blemish here and there, as expected with an item of this age. However, we feel that these points are which adds to the charm of the item with it being an antique.
