A wonderful English sterling silver Melon shape inkwell in with a hinged lid and complete with the removable glass liner.

The base bears the full hallmark for Birmingham 1919 and the lid with a partial mark; the makers initials are also present, H M for Henry Matthews.

Excellent condition, measuring 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" x 2 1/4" to to top of domed lid.
