Small Longines Gun Metal Pocket Watch, 1925

1900 - 1920
Description

Small Longines gun metal pocket watch, 1925.

The watch has a stem-winding, Longines calibre 15.25, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Longines name and it has the serial number 4,330,827 which dates it back to 1925. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 40mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loops it is smaller than a standard pocket watch which measures 50mm. The case is gun metal and it is in good condition. The inside of the case back has the same serial number as the movement.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Longines and it also has the name Pflüger – Las Palmas. Jean Pflüger was a famous clock maker who, in 1868, designed an electric clock that can be found in Triana, in the heart of Las Palmas, a clock that shows you that you should take the time to enjoy all that beauty.

A Breguet style dial with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There are some short hairlines at the top of the dial but they are fairly faint.

The watch comes in an antique presentation box.
