Georgian Chippendale Country Vernacular Style Elm & Leather Set Of 4 Dining Chairs

A Georgian period, in chippendale country vernacular taste, set of four, elm framed with leather seats, dining chairs, Circa 1780. These chairs constructed in quality attractively figured English elm, feature a yoke top rail and pierced back splat. Drop-in seats recently reupholstered in the traditional manner, re-covered using the old leather which has been sympathetically restored. Square front legs with inner chamfer, splayed rear legs, supported by H-stretchers.
 
A handsome and very good quality set of period chairs, in very good condition and ready to use.

These chairs measure approximately 96.5 cm (38'') tall, 50.5 cm (20'') wide, and 47.5 cm (18.75'') deep. The seat height is approximately 47 cm (18.5'').
