Chalfont Clocks has dated this 1930s Regulator Floor Clock to the 1930s.
The observatory dial is silvered with sharp engraving, the blued steel hands are finished with square tails adding a subtle deco element to the dial.
The attention to detail extends to the walnut and ebony case, made as an art deco take on a classic Scottish drumhead clock with rebated dust guards and a solid 2 inch thick mahogany back board, the case is in excellent condition.
This beautiful clock was made by John Clark, a jeweller and watchmaker from Forfar in Angus Scotland, who would have used it for timekeeping and setting customers watches, the case is proudly labelled twice by the local cabinet maker William Robertson would must have been extremely proud of his work.
