Decorative Hinks Oil Lamp and Shade

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1900-1930 an Art Nouveau fine quality, pierced brass oil lamp in good condition.

The lamp with the glass funnel in place measures 62cm, the hexagonal shaped base, is 9.5cm on each side. Hinks & Son Patent trademark is on the wick and the handle is marked Hinks No 2 Duplex. The side of the oil container is marked Williams & Bach - see photos.

The detailed brass work shows the quality of the foundry and is one of the more unusual oil lamps we have had in stock. It has been polished but not lacquered. The shade is from the same period and is in good condition.
