Antique silver Omega pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, signed Omega, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has details of various won by Omega at the Paris exhibition in 1900.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver with rose gold wash detail although as with many cases of this style, there is rubbing to the wash. There are Continental hallmarks inside both of the case backs, together with the early Omega logo and also the initials of a previous owner. The case is in lovely condition, just the odd small mark, nothing serious at all. A handsome central vacant cartouche to the back of the watch.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in beautiful condition with original ornate hands and outer minute markers picked out in gold.

The watch comes with a single chain, 25cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. Nicely hallmarked for Birmingham 1922 with a maker’s mark for George Bickerton. The chain comes with a silver fob with rose gold detail, reflecting the style of the watch. The fob is hallmarked for 1919.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
