Description

A fine pair of late Regency brass fire dogs or fire tool stands c1840. Each has three elegantly turned spindles standing on substantial oblong stepped bases and capped by a horizontal bar. The bases are lined with cast iron moulds, which are heavy and keep the stands stable, and the brass mounts are held in place with nuts and bolts through the iron. Superb condition and I have had them repolished.
