Antique Silver Bravingtons Renown Half Hunter Pocket Watch

Antique silver Bravingtons Renown half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the name Bravingtons Renown. Renown was a brand name used by the London jeweller and retailer Bravingtons for watches sold under their name. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has marking to the edge where it has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three outer covers for Birmingham 1925, with a case maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison.

The case is in good condition, just general light surface marking, and a small indentation to the back of the watch.

The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by blue enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.

The signed dial is in very nice condition and it has its original blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that the hands can still be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
