A country made small table
This lovely table has patinated beautifully through time and in great condition as shown by the photographs complete with its original dark oak waxed finish. We love the tables shaped sides and frontal frieze which houses its 2 oak sided dovetailed drawers which are complete with original brass knobs. The table features a simple plank top which is complemented by its up-stand to the rear which enhances its proud stance. The table finishes to typical Georgian square slightly tapering legs .
There is no movement or play in the joints as the table is being normally used and the tops are flat with no bowing or twisting.
We believe this table did not start its life in this configuration and has been adapted from another form of table, however, its conversion has been done very well only showing some slight signs of evidence underneath.
This table has just been carefully cleaned and waxed, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.
Please note; this item is in beautiful condition for its age as shown in the photographs below however being an antique item it does have the odd bump and repair here and there. The table has had some historic repairs in the past but is all solid and ready to use. We feel that these points are which adds charm and character to a piece.
