George III period, mahogany inlaid console cum folder card or games table, Circa 1790. This table with canted oblong top, chequered stringing. The top folds out to reveal a green baize, supported by a double gateleg rear legs. Well figured frieze with central tablet and stringing. Square tapered legs, with square brass cup castors.
A high quality, attractive, period table, some flaws but well presented and very much ready for use.

This table measures approximately 76 cm (30'') tall, 99.5 cm (39'') wide, 44.5 cm (17.5'') deep unfolded, and 89.5 cm (35'') deep folded out.

...th pleasing patina, and a good polish. The baize has an aged fold through the centre. A little historic extinct worm holes to the secondary timbers in top sections of rear gate legs. Though not significant and has been treated as a matter of precaution. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
