Superb Carved Oak Hall Seat Bench

Description

A superb well carved 19th Century English oak hall seat. The high back having three carved panels depicting indoor and out door tavern scenes. The armrests with carved recumbent lions with Green Man carving above, the hinged seat lifts to reveal a useful storage space for shoes or boots etc. The front of the settle having two carved panels incorporating lion mask heads and the whole raised on lion’s paw front feet. Condition- Very good. Dimensions:- Height… 41''/ 104cm. Width… 62''/ 157cm. Depth… 22''/ 56cm. Seat Height…17.5''/ 44.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £65.
