William IV Rosewood Double Scroll End Settee

Description

A splendid rosewood double scroll end settee, or sofa, from the William IV period. Of excellent construction in solid dense timber, now with a wonderful rich colour and patina. This settee is of very generous proportions and is long enough to seat 3-4 people. The frame is very sturdy and strong, free from all wobbles. The upholstery is in pink. It comes with a pair of (removable) bolster cushions. Whilst not new it is still in very good serviceable condition. The frame is embellished with carved detailing throughout including a central crest to the back. The whole thing stands on elegant turned legs which terminate in their original brass castors. This wonderful settee is offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
