Description

A cased silver & mother of pearl folding knife and form set.

Original leather velvet and silk lined box, very good condition and opens and closes well.

Both blades on the fork and knife are firm and hold at half mast, no movement.

Dated Sheffield 1881 makers mark JL (have not been able to trace).

There is a small hairline crack to the MOP on the fork, this most likely happened during manufacture when the silver shield was inserted and probably hit a natural flaw in the MOP.

Contemporary initials to both.

Folded length 8.2 cm

Open length 13.5 cm
