This Set of 6 Regency mahogany dining chairs were made circa 1810.
The chairs with stretchers that make these very resilient to heavy use.
The curved back rails with fine moulding along the top and bottom.
The central rope twist central bar as the ropes you would find on a man of war. To turn this on a curve took tremendous skill and precision. Only a very skilled woodturner could achieve this to a high standard.
The chairs have drop in seats, this makes recovering (if required) simple and cost effective.
