~ French - Circa 1925 ~~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~A beautiful and high quality Art Deco clock set featuring two elephants standing beside the clock. The case is formed of stunning specimen marbles in the cubist manner, the highly prized black and gold Portoro marble contrasting with the exquisitely figured pink, orange and red marble. Elephants are well modelled in pewter coloured metal. Two conforming cubist side pieces complete the set.The dial is of high quality with a heavy gilded bezel with beveled glass enclosing a matted gold dial with Art Deco lettering and blued steel hands.The French movement is a traditional ''Pendule de Paris'' movement with a pendulum and is of high quality. It is by the Parisian maker Silvin and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement.
