Here we have a very rare miniature Swedish marriage chest c1850. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. This wonderful fine example of folk art at its best has fantastic original paint and is in beautiful condition throughout. It is every bit a replica of the large marriage chests we see but in small form. Lovely turned and painted feet, original hinges and moulded decoration. Internal candle box and escutcheon to the outside. A super rare example in ready to ues condition. The dimensions are approx 38 cm wide 24 cm deep 23 cm high.
