A 19th century sycamore two piece butter mould of a carved cow/bull. These were used to make 3D butter decorations for the table. They would have looked quite impressive.
The two parts moulds are not easy find, often one part is missing.
One of the moulds has two wooden pegs in two of the corners and the other mould has two holes to insert the pegs.
Each half measures 11.5cm w x 10cm d x 4.5cm h
