Rawlings Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The chest is of very good proportions with a cupboard and two drawers below .
originally would have been used as a shaving chest with the cupboard used to store a shaving bowl .
Now has many other uses .in great clean condition ,
I believe the drawer bottoms have been replaced at some point during the early 20th century .
