Description

J.Tim MacDonald(Exh 1889-1919) was a watercolour artist best know for his watercolours of London landmarks and street scenes.Lived Liverpool and London and exhibited principally at the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool.Wellington Arch London,also known as Constitutional Arch ,stands at the top of Constitutional Hill which runs alongside Green Park and Hyde Park Corner.It was built to honour the Duke of Wellingtons Victory over Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo and is one of London’s most famous landmarks. ‘The Wellington Arch,London’ signed watercolourdated (19)27,image size 34x23.5 cms,framed size 57x45 cms.This watercolour has been newly framed in a contemporary gilt frame with an expensive double wash lined mount and has been professionally cleaned by my excellent restorer.
