French Louis Xv Style Tortoise Shell Mantel Clock by Samuel Marti

1900 - 1920
Description

A very good quality French Louis XV style boulle red tortoise shell serpentine shaped mantel clock with scroll leaf bronze gilt ormolu mounts and carrying handle. The clock has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and a French eight day duration movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.

The movement back plate is stamped with the makers names:-

Samuel Marti

The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee,
