Antique Treen Black Forest Owl Match Holder & Striker

A small 19th century Black Forest match holder and striker, carved as an owl, standing on a branch. The owl is well carved with glass eyes, it has a pull off head for storage of matches. The underside of the base has a series of concentric circles, which would act to cause friction when striking a match. A couple of very minor chip repairs.
