Description

This superb 20 drawer, solid mahogany collectors cabinet is by charles brady, considered by many to have been the leading and finest cabinet maker of the late 19th to early 20th century. All in finely figured top quality mahogany.

This exceptional example was built circa 1900 and originally housed a collection of british butterflies. Of course, it will serve any number of collecting pursuits where small items of value and delicacy require protection and display.

All the drawers have tightly fitting glazed frame tops and the classic 'brady rebate' seal to the drawers to exclude dust and pest. All drawers run smoothly and silently and the cabinet has it's original lock and key. A solid panel to the door.

Standing on the original four bun feet.

The drawers are base lined with cork and the drawer interiors lined with white acid free cartridge paper. The cabinet is ready for use. All to accommodate british length imperial pin s.
