Grand Antique English Snuff Box with Monogram & Dated 1852

Description

A beautiful polished wooden circular table snuff box dating to the Victorian era mounted with a highly decorative gilded brass cast monogram, superb quality.

Once the lid is removed and turned over, there is a wax seal, presumably the family or individual's crest. Above this is a wonderful inscription "This Snuff Box Was Made From The Cedar Tree In My Uncle's Garden At 10, St. Albans Villas, Highgate Road (London) On The 12th March, 1852".

Wonderful condition, measuring 4 1/8" in diameter.
