Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Royal Worcester began producing specialised pot pourri vessels in the eighteenth century, reaching significant popularity during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. These containers were designed to hold fragrant dried flora, with pierced lids allowing scent diffusion throughout living spaces.

These pieces are crafted from fine porcelain, soft-fired and hand-glazed. Decorative elements feature hand-painted enamel illustrations of fruit or floral arrangements, finished with burnished gilding on the base, rim, and lid.

Authentic examples bear factory printed or painted backmarks stamped on the base, often accompanied by artist signatures within the painted artwork. The presence of date codes, shape numbers, and hand-applied gilding consistent with factory standards further verifies origin.

This type of decorative vase is often positioned as a focal accent on a mantelpiece, sideboard, or within a glass display cabinet. Pairing it with neutral backdrops or dark timber surfaces creates contrast against the gilded finish and vibrant hand-painted tones.

Dust gently using a dry, soft-bristled brush or microfibre cloth to clean delicate areas around the pierced lid. Avoid abrasive chemicals, water immersion, or harsh detergents, as these cause wear to hand-painted enamels and gilded surfaces over time.
