. Raised on a leaf-cast circular socle base . Acanthus leaf wrapped handles with grape and vine-leaf cast detail where they join the body.

The body engraved to each side with finely detailed and skilfully-executed noble armorial crest .
The underside bearing the punched star or sunflower marks of Matthew Boulton & Co.
Fitted with a removable rim and inner sleeve liner for ice .

Matthew Boulton & Co , of Soho House Manufactory , Birmingham , were leading and highly-esteemed producers of fine quality silver-plated wares of this type, using a technique of fused copper and silver sheets first developed in Sheffield during the C18th .
In excellent original condition with only minor wear to one small area of the silver plate on the top edge .
