Large Scottish Silver and Agate "Knot" Brooch C.1880

Description

A stunning large Scottish silver and agate "knot" brooch, made around 1880. It has eight hand carved Montrose agate stones set in silver along with three large citrines. It is unmarked as is usual with Scottish brooches and has a standard Victorian "C" clasp with an elongated pin. This is one of the best "knot" brooches I have seen. A great collectors piece and would make a wonderful gift. Box for display only.
