The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has some scratching where it has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model from the Birmingham based case maker Aaron Dennison, a prolific case manufacturer and supplier for various watch makers. The case is in good condition with just minor marking, nothing too serious at all.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.
The dial has unusual but very handsome numerals, blued steel hands and an outer minute track. There is a patch of short hairlines between 4 and 5 but not too detrimental at all.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
